Special Issue

We are pleased to announce that the journal Movement Ecology agreed to publish a special issue (in form of a special series) linked to the BioMove Symposium. The special issue is titled “Integrating Movement Ecology with Biodiversity Research”. Please note: Movement Ecology recently received its first, very impressive, impact factor of 3.286!

Guest editors for the special issue are the BioMove researchers Florian Jeltsch and Volker Grimm (see www.biomove.org). We welcome all sorts of manuscripts that make an explicit link between movement ecology and biodiversity research. Manuscripts will be rigorously peer-reviewed to ensure novelty and high quality.

Manuscripts can be submitted from now on until the deadline of April 30th 2019 and will be published directly after acceptance. Movement Ecology agreed on a 25% discount on the publication fees to all of the submissions to our special issue.  Authors will need to request a waiver and enter the code BioMoveSpecialIssue, to receive the 25% discount. This code expires by end of April 2019. As part of the submission process, the authors should come across a section that asks about the APC funding for the manuscript. Here the authors can request a part waiver for their APC discount by inputting the code BioMoveSpecialIssue.

Please contact Florian Jeltsch (jeltsch@uni-potsdam.de) or Volker Grimm (volker.grimm@ufz.de) if you have any questions regarding this special issue.
